The investment program of Russian Railways for 2024 will amount to over 1.27 trillion rubles

The volume of the container market in Russia in 2024 may grow by 4-5% to the level of 2023. Andrey Severilov, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fesco transport group, told reporters on the sidelines of the TransRussia forum, TASS reports

"The container market in Russia has adapted to the changed conditions. The dynamics of container imports have stabilized after rapid growth. In the first half of the year, we can expect the continuation of infrastructure restrictions at the Eastern landfill of Russia, which will slow down the potential growth of export shipments. Exports through Northwest ports to China and friendly countries will grow. By the end of 2024, we expect the container market to grow by 4-5%," he said.

As previously reported by Russian Railways holding, container shipments via the railway network in 2023 increased by 14.1% compared to 2022 and exceeded 7.4 million TEU.
